Job Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our Fair Energy campaign team. Are you a young person with experience in WordPress and website design? Applications are now open for this exciting internship position.
The role of the WordPress intern will be to support all aspects of our web platform – i.e. coordinating the pages, design, implementation of visuals, resources, information and delivery of the Fair Energy Campaign message, under the supervision of Dr Laura Santamaria, Dr Anze Zadel and Diana Hysenaj.
The Fair Energy Campaign is a grassroots initiative that champions best practices and principles in the energy sector, supports informed decisions for energy procurement and encourages innovation in the energy sector. This project is delivered in partnership with Citizens UK and combines elements of design innovation, strategic communication and citizen mobilisation for social change.
We are particularly interested in applicants with strong web design skills for both back-end and front-end development using of WordPress themes and plugins. You’ll need a combination of basic web design skills and visual design (understanding element arrangements on the screen, keeping with brand style, and proposing better user experience).
This is an opportunity to translate your skills into work experience that aligns design, activism and communication for climate action.
Conditions of Service
You will be working under a freelance arrangement starting on a rolling basis. Remuneration will be following the London Living Wage at £11.05 per hour.
